Hi,
Just wanted to introduce myself. Im from the US and have been riding motorcycles for 37 years (just aged myself) and my first bike was an 81 honda xr80. Then my first street bike was a 76 yamaha xs650, i subsequently bought 3 more and a two stroke 200cc yamaha, not sure which model it was. I enjoyed those bikes while i learned how to work on them but sold them for an 84 hobda vf700c magna. The magna was a great bike for a long time until i found a poor condition 78 yamaha sr500 about 10 years ago. I rebuilt it and had the case welded where the kickstarter cracked the case. During my research for the sr500 i saw an srx600 and immediately wanted one. I sold both bikes about 5 years ago because i moved and my girlfriend politely reminded me they needed to go. Well, that didnt last long so last year i moved again so i could have a place for motorcycles. I looked at srx600 but kind of got concerned about the 5th gear issue so i bought two 79 sr500. Finally i watched nico's video on replacing the 5th gear so i bought two 86 (only year available in the states) srx600, a 2ef and 2eg model. Wow! I fell in love with the srx! What a fun bike to ride. Thanks for having me.
