Got a SRX600 it's almost ready. - Ten Led - 29.09.2021

Going to a revision. Fueltank needs new paint. Will be ready next season. Can't wait.

Hi TenLed,

your SRX is looking fine!
Especially the seat, it's marvellous.

Did you have any problems concerning corrosion at the fuel tank?

Cheers

Volker

Looks very nice. The Tank ist hopefully not leaking. To avoid Problems in the Future you should get a coating of the INSIDE of your tank.

The seat would Look even better without the handelbar.

I Wish you good Lück with your new compagnion.

Tom

Hello Eibert and welcome to the SRX community.
Your bike looks like being in pretty good shape as far as pics can tell.
The gas tank: it looks like having been soldered or weld at the lowest point. My concern about this is that these tanks become leaky from the inside due to water accumulation over time. Before wasting money on new paint, you should take a very close look at the inside of the tank (endoscope), erasing any rust from it and -if required- replacing all sections showing thinning of the sheet metal. Otherwise, you will have the very same problem before long.
The fuel petcock: not installed yet?
The seat: very nice!

Don't hesitate to ask questions, if you have any not talked about yet in this forum.
