The inspection station that I go to has always been lenient. However, when I took my SRX in recently, I could not believe the situation. The inspector checked nothing! He did not check the headlight high and low beam. Did not check the taillight and brake light. Did not check the turn signals. Did not check the horn. He walked around the bike once, eyeing condition, and approved it.
I feel a lot more like I do now than I did when I got here!
